Finding her fit, Meghan embraces mentorship and is focused on growth at VAST Resource Solutions.

Meghan Cameron is an Articling Agrologist (AAg) and Biologist in Training (BIT) with three years of practical experience in Southern British Columbia and Alberta. Currently nearing the completion of her articling program, she is on track to earn her Professional Agrologist (PAg) designation in the coming months, allowing her to expand her expertise in land reclamation and remediation, areas she has been passionate about since her studies.

Meghan holds a Bachelor of Environmental Conservation Science with a major in Land Reclamation from the University of Alberta and a Land and Water Resources diploma specializing in Land Reclamation and Remediation from Olds College. These academic achievements, combined with her professional experience, have provided her with a robust foundation in soil science, environmental chemistry, reclamation principles, and technical report writing. Meghan has applied her expertise in diverse field roles, including aquatic assessments, erosion and sediment control planning, water quality sampling and monitoring, project proposal development, and data management.

In April 2024, Meghan joined VAST Resource Solutions, inspired by the company’s collaborative and multidisciplinary environment. Seeking a workplace that offered access to experienced mentors and diverse expertise, Meghan found her fit at VAST, where senior professionals provide guidance and support.

“VAST has a strong team culture and access to senior professionals in a wide range of specialties,” said Meghan. “Having mentors who are leaders in their fields is helping me refine my skills and grow as both an agrologist and biologist.”

Originally from Rimbey, Alberta, Meghan relocated to Cranbrook three years ago, drawn by its unparalleled outdoor recreation opportunities and pristine natural landscapes. A dedicated fly fisher, snowboarder, and mountain biker, Meghan finds Cranbrook an ideal place to merge her professional pursuits with her love of the outdoors.
